Enjoy the best of both worlds with crisp, vivid movie playback and recording capability with the Sylvania DVR90DEA DVD recorder/player. The recorder's built-in NTSC TV tuner and onscreen user interface permits up to eight timer recordings over a one-year period, with its six DVD recording speeds providing between one and 10 hours of content on a single-sided 4.7 GB recordable DVD (DVD-R/RW discs only). You can even select and compile the best footage to commit to disc: the recorder's handy editing features include auto playlist creation, project titling, title deletion and editing, and scene deletion. In addition to DVD movie and CD audio playback capabilities, the ZRY-316 is also compatible with playing content from CD-R/RW and DVD-R/RW discs as well as CDs burned with MP3 digital audio files. Content compatibility includes MP3 and WMA digital audio and JPEG digital photos, as well as the ability to view photo slide shows with background music from disc. You can easily set a recording time as you prefer. Every time the REC button pressed during recording, the recording time will be increased by 30 minutes up to 4 hours. The recording automatically stops when the recording time you set is reached. You can confirm the picture quality for recording in the current recording speed which you set. If you want to change the recording speed, press REC SPEED button to set the desired recording mode. It offers the following connection options: - Composite AV (RCA): 2 in, 1 out (1 front)

i buy this product from discount jungle first the remote is not working second he was no good the picture was yellow no way to fix it in he does not play CD-video it was a piece a crap i call the manufacture the said to me the product is no longer in there system no help if i need help i have to pay $[...] i call discount jungle the say to return it back nice of them but to bad for me now the don't want to gave me my money back i fill a claim still nothing wet so do not buy from this seller i all unless if you like him

This unit hasn't been produced since 2003. Could not get it to work with a high def TV. Even tried using coax and rgb outputs and it still didn't work. I called for tech service and the rep said he couldn't believe that these units were still being sold as new.

recording channel numbers higher than 125 on sylvania DVR90DEA April 1, 2010

To record higher channel from the cable; connection should be as given in manual (B)..many scrambled channels. Power on all systems (DVR,cable box,TV). Select video mode on TV and using cable box remote select the channel of choice. Well, if you are using HD-TV the quality is compromised. To record setup->channel->manual preset(CH3 display for my DVR) or sometimes you can skip this step if you are able to watch the choice channel. To record with timer Setup->record-> set the date/time(enter to highlight) and press return button. Now relax and record OR switch off the TV and power off DVR;but leave the cable box swithced on. A catch is you cannot record one channel while watching another. Be sure to leave the channel you want to record lastly! Enjoy!
