Not for iphone or driod February 17, 2010 C. Savage (CA) The ear buds work fine and volume control works, but the mic does not work on my droid or my iphone.
Ipod ear bud August 17, 2009 John T. Deichmann I am not tech savy- I needed replacement ear buds for my Ipod- I ordered the following ear buds but was unaware the jack was not compatible with my Ipod- I only have one female access- the price was great but I ended up with something I can not use. Postage is more than what I paid for the buds- live and learn.
Plantronics MX100S - great option for the Centro or other Treo jack issue February 23, 2009 LanaF (ny) I remember these from around 2005 when cell phones could first do MP3s before bluetooth. I don't see this model on plantronics site any longer.
the centro & other Treos only have a 2.5mm jack, but can ONLY do stereo using regular 3.5mm headphones. Using regular headphones worked w/2.5mm to a 3.5mm jack, but for a headSET for phone abilities, I had jabra & newer plantronics 2.5mm stereo headsets and it wouldn't work though they both work fine for Moto & Samsung, etc. for stereo. It only worked for mono cell phone use or mono MP3.
with this headset, I only need one set of earbuds for cell phone use & switch with the jack & 3.5mm part for stereo MP3 or even can just plug in the 3.5mm into my small MP3 player to conserve battery on the centro.
also, I love this design, unlike earbuds that don't at least have soft stuff to go into the ear, the cheaper plastic ones can cause pain & irritation from having to be stuffed in. With these clips, they only have to be gently sitting against the ear & the grips do the work to defy gravity & even vigorous head movements. the switch for 2.5mm & 3.5mm choice is easy to maneuver & has a great volume control there as well. like all my my other headsets, they do sound good for the non audiophile. They are clear & not tinny.
great investment October 24, 2008 Naz Amirsoleymani (San Franciscco, CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have owned mine for a few years & the best feature besides the earbuds staying in your ears is the volume control that is independant of your ipod - very convenient and the extra long cord. Sound quality is good as well.
Though I am hard on my things -I am not delicate at all - these suckers have lasted well despite all my abuse and they are working well...though I have worn out the ear bud "clips" and for some reason my microphone doesn't work anymore....so decided to replace them with a new set - not a different model - becasue I liked these so much.
Okay March 16, 2007 K. Edmonds (Clifton Park, NY United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I love the earbuds. They stay in my ears no matter how hard I shake my head. I love the fact that the cord wraps around to one side. The only downfall...while using the 2.5mm jack to plug into my phone, the sound only comes out of one side (like a headset). Therefore, I can't really listen to music with my music phone. The 3.5mm jack plugged into my computer works great and has good sound. So, if you want something to use with your music phone I recommend the MX 203S. I just purchased one to use with my phone; you can hear music and phone conversations in both ears.
